Alan Beard's site

Booker longlistee and stalwart of the group for 25ish years. Her first novel 'Girl in a Blue Dress' (2008) was Booker longlisted. A book of stories 'Lying Together' came out in 2011, and her new novel 'After Such Kindness' has just been published.

Kavita has had many stories published and recently (2011) edited 'Too Asian, not Asian Enough'.

Julia Bell was a member of TSFG for 5 or 6 years in the 90s before going off to the UEA. She has two novels out - details on her website.

Georgina was voted in as a member this year (2009) but was only able to attend a couple of meetings and had to withdraw. We wish her well.

Maeve joined the group in 2006.

Gul joined in around 1999, but moved to London recently.

Ryan's novel '27' came out in December 2012

Jackie was a full member from 1996 to Dec09. Then she got married and emigrated to Canada. We will miss her.

Brian - writing as James B. Goodwin - released a novel 'The Bad Seed' in March 2013.

Fiona joined TSFG in 2010. In 2012 she published a non fiction book 'Beatrice: The Cadbury Heiress Who Gave away Her Fortune.'

Joel joined in 1995ish and has 6 books out: 2 novels, 2 short story and 2 poetry collections.(2012 update - a lot more now, too many to count).

Sidura, a Canadian, was in the group for a few years in the early noughties.

Founder member Alan Mahar has two novels out, and is Editor-in-Chief of Tindal Street Press.

Annie joined TSFG in the 80s, and we still see her often even though she moved to Reading in the mid 90s. She has many novels out - see her website.

Mez joined us in March 2010 and is the author of the novel 'Among Thieves', and 'The Game is Altered' (2012).

Mick Scully has been in TSFG since 2003. 'Little Moscow' a book of stories was published in 2007.

Amanda's book 'Black Rock' has been a great success here and abroad - it made it to the Oprah Winfrey summer pick in 2009.

Polly joined in 1999ish. The link is to The Hearth Centre which Polly runs. It produces plays and interactive workshops on health and social care issues.
